Relinquish

Please never release a domesticated animal outdoors, as they will likely become injured and/or die. Domesticated rabbits can not fend for themselves and are not hardy like wild rabbits. Please do not offer an animal for free to a good home, as it will likely go to a home where it will be fed to another animal or neglected. If an adoption fee is not affordable for someone, the cost of proper care and veterinary costs is definitely not affordable, and fostering an animal in need is a better option.

We are a foster-based rescue and do not have a shelter location. As such, we are limited IN taking in new residents, as we rely solely on foster availability. Please fill out the form below, and when or if we can help your pet on their journey to their new home, we will contact you.

I will make a monetary donation to HHSAR if they are able to help my pet.

For most animals, we do not require a relinquish fee, however, donations are always helpful so we can continue our mission.

How soon are you needing to relinquish your pet(s)?

If we are not able to take the animal(s) in before this time, we may be able to offer a relinquish and foster option. With this option, you would sign our relinquish and foster contracts, and continue to care for them, as an HHSAR foster. They can then be put up for adoption through us, and find a home sooner.
